British Petroleum (BP) is one of the largest oil companies in the world. In a 2009 SEC ruling it stated that it had stakes in two oil fields and one pipeline outside of Iran which the National Iranian Oil company has an interest in. BP used to provide Iran with gasoline and it currently buys some Iranian crude to sell to third parties in Europe.
