Daimler has both maintained a partnership with Iranian car maker Iran Khodo since the 1960's and owns a 30 percent stake in an engine manufacturer owned by Iran Khodo. Further, Daimler currently exports cars to Iran but, due to recent German export laws, Daimler has been prohibited from exporting large trucks to the Islamic Republic.
