Armenian-Iranian Gas Pipeline Project

Armenia finished construction of a natural gas pipeline from Iran; the pipeline will carry 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas a year.  Construction began on the pipeline in March 2007.

According to the terms of the pricing contract, Armenia imports 3 McM per day of Iranian gas, for which it must pay in electricity.  Currently, Iran accuses Armenia of failing to import the contract volume.
