Azerbaijan-Iran, Long Term Gas Agreement Imminent
description
Azerbaijan's SOCAR and Iran's National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGEC) will finalize a long term natural gas agreement within ninety days, according to Seyed Reza Kasaeideh, head of NIGEC. The deal envisions Iran importing 5 million cubic metes of gas per annum. Azerbaijan and Iran are currently linked by the1475.6 kilometer Kazi-Magomed-Astara pipeline.
