Iran and Belarus founded Belpars Corporation in to develop Jofeir oilfield. The company has received financing and begun preparing for operations. Jofier Oilfield contains 2.1 billion barrels of heavy crude. Output could reach 30,000 barrels per day.
The field is expected to come online by mid-2010, according to Berlausian and Iranian officials.
