The Commercial Bank of Syria and Bank Saderat Iran will set up a joint venture bank in Syria, the Syrian Iranian Commercial Bank. The banks will each hold 25% of the S£1.5bn ($32mn) capital of the new bank. Other partners and shareholders will control the rest. 27% will be issued in stock.
