Gazprom Neft - NIOC, MoU Development
description
Gazprom Neft agreed to develop two oilfields in Iran - the Azar and Changuleh fields. OAO Lukoil is already present in both fields. The field could produce as much as 55,000 bbpd. The Azar field tender opened up after Norway's Statoil wavered on the project.
Following the visit of Deputy Oil Minister Hossein Noghrehkar-Shirazi to Moscow last week, Gazprom and NIOC announced plans to finalize and exploration and development contract by March 2010.
