Under pressure by the group United Against a Nuclear Iran, Ingersoll-Rand decided to sever ties with Iran, ordering all subsidiary companies to stop accepting orders for all products that the subsidiary knows will end up traveling to Iran. Ingersoll does not possess any offices in Iran and a company spokesman noted that sales to Iran accounted for less than 0.1% of 2008’s $13.2 billion revenue.
