Iran-Khodro to Produce Peugeot Automobile
description
Iran-Khodro is set to begin production of the Peugeot 207i under license in Iran. Peugeot will provide 50 percent of the costs associated with retooling production lines to mass produce the 207i. Daily production capacity will be 200 units, subject to market demand.
UPDATE: Iran-Khodro began production of the first 207i automobiles this week. 60 percent of parts for the automobile are manufactured locally. Iran-Khodro said that 15,000 to 20,000 vehicles will be produced next year. The vehicles will also be manufactured and sold abroad as part of the agreement with Peugeot. Iran-Khodro plans to begin sales on March 21.
