Iran - Turkey, Joint Industrial Free-Zone

description

Turkey and Iran plan to build a tax-free industrial township on their common border, most likely in the Turkish town of Iğdır.  Turkey and Iran plan to double their $10 billion in trade over the next five years.  They also plan a free-trade agreement and an upgrade of the Lake Van Northern Passage Project. As of March 2010, Turkey and Iran have decided to most likely build the township in Maku, Iran.
