Iran, Russia, and Malaysia agreed to cooperate in exploration activites in Uzbekistan. Iran signed a $15 million upstream contract to explore Uzbekistan's Gissar Block. Similarly, Iran signed a $20 million agreement with Lukoil and Petronas to explore the Surkhansi block.
