Petrofield LNG, a subsidiary of the Malaysian SKS group signed contracts worth more than $14 billion.  The deal includes the development of the Ferdousi and Golshan natural gas fields, as well as the contruction of a 20 million ton/annum LNG plant.  This is the first time a Malaysian firm contracted for midstream activities. 120,000 barrels of crude are a part of the agreement. In September 2009, NIOC accused SKS of failing to meet its contract - SKS has been unable to secure a $10 billion loan from an unspecified Asian development bank.
