Nokia Siemens Network - Irantelecom, Telecommunications Surveillance Technology

Nokia Siemens Network, a partnership between Germany's Siemens AG and Finland's Nokia aided Irantelecom in developing monitering systems for cell phones and the internet in the second half of 2008.  According to the WSJ, these technologies were used to clamp down on protesters during the summer riots against Mahmoud Ahmedinejad's Presidential election.
