Petrobras E&D in Persian Gulf
description
Petrobras, the Brazilian oil giant, agreed to fund and support the development of Iranian holdings in the Persian Gulf after the discovery of the Tosan block in February of 2009. Petrobras contracted with Spanish Repsol to drill four exploratory wells. As of July, Petrobras reported that the field was mainly natural gas, and contained sub-commercial oil deposts.
