Royal Dutch Shell, Resumption of Gasoline Sales

description

Royal Dutch Shell stopped selling gasoline to Iran in March of 2010, one of the recent large oil companies that have stopped sales after the threat of impending US sanctions against the Islamic Republic.  According to Reuters, Shell, one of the largest oil companies in the world, shipped about 1.65 million barrels of gasoline into Iran from April through October 2009.

In June of 2010, Royal Dutch Shell resumed gasoline sales to Iran after a six month hiatus, delivering 30,000 tons of gasoline to Bandar Abbas. This move is a reversal of its decision to halt gasoline supplies to the Islamic Republic in March of 2010.
