description
Hamburg customs officials intercepted a shipment of Siemens' turbocompressors destined for Iran in December 2009. The shipment came from Siemens' branch in Sweden. The turbocompressors were part of an $80 million shipment . Siemens denied that the turbocompressors were for use in any illicit activities, though critics have warned that such high end technological equipment can be used in Iran's missile and nuclear programs.
