In 2006, Statoil Hydro (now Statoil ASA) contracted with the National Iranian Oil Company for a seismic survey of the Khorrammabad oil block. As of November 2009, the company completed its seismic survey and exploratory wells at Khorrammabad. The deal was worth $49.5 million.
